Be careful and help make a difference

Everyone that has a dog should read The Chai Story and put yourself in the place of Chai’s owner. I did, and it left me with two thoughts:

1) Be careful.
Be careful about the toys you give to your dog.

2) Help make a difference
Protect not only your dog but all dogs by boycotting and making your voice heard.

My heart and well wishes go out to Chai and his owner.

Random shots of Tyson

His "I'm interested" look

If Ty went to a K-9 elementary school this is what I think his yearbook picture would look like.

For ONCE he's on his pillow, not on my lounge chair. Good boy, Ty!

Slobbery Kisses is walking for a cause!

Me and Tyson are participating in the Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) Run & Walk for the Animals event on September 27th. All proceeds from the event will go to support the mission of the CAHS to promote the humane treatment of companion animals through protection, placement, education and example. My son and I volunteer at the humane society and believe me they really do good things for animals there.

Want to participate? Join me and Tyson and the Slobbery Kisses pack – we’d love the company! For more information about the event, or to join or pledge a donation to the Slobbery Kisses pack, or to form your own pack visit: www.cahs-lansing.org.

Two of my inspirations: I photographed these two dogs at CAHS recently. After seeing these two faces and getting to know the first one (Bubbles) I knew I just had to help.

More of Miles

I love these close-up shots of Miles. Look at that face!

The last shot is of him running – I like the intense look on his face and the slant of his body, and boy is he FAST…this shot reminds me of everything this breed (JRT) is known for. He's perfect.

Miles

I had a great time capturing images of this little guy.

He gave me kisses. He hit me with his doggie poses. He showed me his speed. And was full of sweetness the entire time! There is no doubt that he lives up to his name – this four legged cutie has enough character to stretch for miles and miles.

Tomorrow I will post an awesome action shot of Miles and a few of my favorite close-ups.

Lounging

Lounging is one of the things Tyson does best. Unfortunately, he's taken over My chaise lounge. Whenever I sit on it he feels the need to come sit on it too, smashing me in the process. Here are a few pics I took of him last night on the lounge after he'd successfully driven me off of it.

Funny, how he can lay there as if nothing is wrong and all is as it should be after just giving me the boot. Bad Ty! But I'm a sucker for his cute little face.

a little more Skylar...

Okay. So I don't have just ONE favorite from my shoot with Ms. Skylar --- here are a few of her pics I just can't get enough of...

just LOOK at this profile...

these ears...

and the intense eye...

She's chalk full of beauty. And, what's really great is that her Mom knows it and spoils her, because this little girl came to the shoot with enough toys to fill a toy box. Great dog + great Mom = something I just have to bark about.

Skylar

How cute is this little weimie?! This little girl has some sprint to her -she's a girl on the go. You know the type of dog. The kind that believe there's things to explore and people to see and that energy is the key to seeing everything. And after trying to keep up with her, I don't think she'll miss a thing!

I like this shot of her - her lips look persed as if she's wondering why do I have to sit? I should be moving.

It looks like she's basking in the sunlight in this shot. I wonder what she's thinking/dreaming about:)

Tomorrow I'll show a few more shots of Skylar... including my favorite one.

Pug Love

I fell in love with pugs after the Lansing Pug Lovers Meetup group let me photograph them during an event this past Sunday, at Cones and Bones. Below are pictures of the two pugs that belong to the two organizers of the group. I just had to post their two "kids" first since they were kind enough to let me come photograph - not too mention look at these two little pug-mugs! Precious!

Anyone with a pug should join this great group - your pug will thank you, and you'll have a blast. Because ain't no party like a pug party! And you'll see exactly what I mean when you see tomorrow's post...
