And for those of you whose dog I have photographed….I think you’ll see a dog you LOVE on the site!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that’s allowed me to capture their barking beauty, or two, and even you, in some cases. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.

The A & J Connection

Ahab and Joe. ...don't think I need to say too much here - the pictures tell it all.

Just look at these two together.

Ahab

Say hello to Ahab. Such a good boy. I posted this first shot of him because it's just so "all american" dog looking.

I took this second shot peaking at Ahab from under a park bench. No doubt he was trying to take a break and rest from me, but I am relentless stalker when it comes to trying to get a shot. I like candid shots like this.
Tomorrow we will see shots of Ahab with his dad.

Bibo

Just look at this little guy: gorgeous hair + great markings + confidence = one photogenic pup. This was the first pic I snapped of him.

With this much hair I just HAD to have a shot with it as the focus. (I love this pic!)

Tyson update

Tyson joined my family when he was about 9 weeks old; he's 10 months old now - but you wouldn't know he's still a puppy because he's HUGE. We got him from a nice lady named Kris. She likes to check out the blog and recently asked for some updated shots of Ty.

Here you go Kris - I took these pics of Ty yesterday when we were walking on the river trail.

Bullmastiff's are the best!

Random Shots Week

Going to the Run Walk for the Animals a few weeks ago, Tyson and I met up with a few friends. And here is what they looked like as they drove up and parked next to us. It was clear that the "fun and fabulous" had arrived! :)

Miles, Parker and their Mom.

Random Shots Week

Tyson just LOVES stuffed animals and toys. Here he is with one of his favorites. We call it his "little man". "Where's your little man, Ty?" "Go get your little man."

How far can you stretch? Think you can out-stretch Bella?!

Random Shots Week

Take a look at the nose, chin, and tongue action Ruby has going on in this shot. I love the muzzle and jowls big dogs have and the fact that hers are pink is an extra special bonus, I think.

Random Shots Week

I was called out today for not keeping up on my blog postings by a reader. Thanks, Allison! :)

I've been busy lately working on my web site and preparing to move to a new blog and haven't posted in awhile. But I promise, you are going to love the new site and blog! But that's no excuse, I've got to keep the pics coming.... so I'm going to make this Random Shots Week and use this week to post a few fun shots.

Here's a shot of Charlie peaking out from his kennel. The one place where he knows my son can't get to him and drive him crazy - but he's still keeping an eye out for him.

The Bella + Mom Bond

Look at these pics of Bella and her mom. The bond between them is undeniable. Look how close they are in the first pic and how comfortable Bella is in Mom's lap in the second pic. This is what it's all about! The special bond we have with our dogs.

Im so glad Bella's mom agreed to get in a few of the shots. She was a little hesitant to do so but I know she's going to love the shots of them together.

Bella

There's no doubt about it, this little lady is the bell of the ball.
Oh, Bella...you are a beautiful dachshund.

More pics of Bella coming up tomorrow.

Vote for Slobbery Kisses!

Being a dog photographer is allowing me to blend my love for dogs and my passion for photography into a job I love. For me, it doesn’t get any better than meeting and playing with all sorts of dogs and getting to know other dog lovers. Each day is different and bounding with tail-wagging, barking, slobbery kisses, and fun. And at the end of it all, I’m thrilled to know I gave another dog lover a lasting image of the special dog in their life; an image they can treasure forever.

I am thankful and indebted to all of my customers and their barking beauties I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

The Best of 2008 Readers’ Choice Awards is going on now. Vote for your favorite pet service providers: pet photographer, dog park, dog walker/sitting, groomer, dog food, etc. and help your fellow pet-lovers know where to go.

If you feel compelled to vote for Slobbery Kisses Photography, I would truly appreciate it. Heck, who am I kidding?! It would me the world!

Ruby - Big and Beautiful

Bigger than many adult dogs of various breeds this 9 month old puppy shows just how fast a large breed dog can grow. Being owned by a large breed dog myself - I'm all about big dog love! And when it comes to having all the traits that make big dogs great, Ruby doesn't disappoint. I wanted to bring her home with me after the session.

Ruby

Oh Ruby, what nice eyes you have. And you are so true to the French Mastiff breed with that pink nose and tight nose wrinkles!

Tomorrow I’ll post a pic or two that show off just how big this girl really is because she is without a doubt a big, beautiful, barking beauty.

What a treat!

I was preparing the online gallery for the Ranger and Scout session the other day and ran across this shot of Ranger. I REALLY like it and can't believe I didn't post it before. Such a treat to find it. Thought I'd share my treat with you. Isn't he a barking beauty?!

Harper

Harper shows us how a min pin can photograph with flare. He's just way too handsome. So cute. So composed. All business. The entire session he had this I don't know who you are, but let's do this, kind of attitude -- it was great!

P.S. I hope dad and grandma like your pics Harper.

Companions

I LOVE it when the people owned by the dogs I photograph are willing to get in front of the camera as well. Capturing the connecton between the two is magic. Take a look at these great pics of Harper and his Mom.

Tomorrow I'll let Harper shine all on his own. Wait until you see his stand alone pics.

Hitting the streets...

with Calli and her family.

In this last pic you see the love and closeness that's part of this family's bond - even without the faces, the bodies tell it all.

Calli

A beautiful husky I had the pleasure of photographing recently.
This first picture of Calli highlights two of her beautiful traits that I’ve never had in a dog of my own:

1. Her two different colored eyes; and
2. Her furry ears.

I knew I had a fascination with different colored eyes but never knew how adorable fluffy ears are…until now. And I’m not sure that it’s all furry ears – I think Calli’s ears are extra special just look at how soft and perfect they are! They make me want to rub and feel them.

Tomorrow, another treat from Calli's session. Her parents got into the mix so I'll give you a peak at a family shot with a nice urban feel.

Puppy play

Here's a shot of Parker and his brother Miles running around.

This is a shot of Sophie, Miles and Parker's neighbor who crashed our photo session to all of our enjoyment. Parker was especially excited about her appearance and wanted to romp with her.

Here in this shot you see her being a lady.

But this girl showed that she was no push-over. She was giving Parker all that he could handle.
I love puppies...they are just too much fun.

Parker

Parker
A little heart-stopper!

He's all the best a puggle could be.

Ranger & Scout

Here's a shot of the brother and sister dual laying in the grass. One of the rare moments when they both stopped to rest, and rest together. Brother-sister teams rule!

Scout

Say hello to Scout, Ranger's sister.

That long body. Those short legs. The cute spots. Those super long ears. There's no denying it! She's a lovely basset.

Can you guess what's on deck for tomorrow's post? Of course! A pic or two of Ranger and Scout together.
